Das Internet ist voll mit lustigen mathematischen Coversongs. Oft sind sie ziemliche Ohrwürmer, die unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler auch noch nach Jahren im Kopf haben. Sie lockern außerdem den Unterricht auf und machen Spaß, weshalb Frau Prof. Mrkvicka sie gerne einsetzt.
Schon immer wollte Frau Prof. Mrkvicka mit einer Klasse ein eigenes Coverlied schreiben. Mit der 3B setzte sie das am Ende des Schuljahres 2015/16 um. Unter der Mithilfe von Musiklehrer Prof. Wiesmüller und André, einem unserer Nativespeaker, nahmen sie das Lied „Let it go“ aus dem Film „Frozen“ und texteten es um. Dafür wurde die Klasse in einzelne Gruppen geteilt, die jeweils eine Strophe bzw. den Refrain mit einem mathematischen Thema aus dem Schuljahr umdichten mussten. Das Lied wurde schließlich von der Klasse eingesungen und Prof. Wiesmüller fügte alle Tonspuren zusammen. André half dabei eine Choreographie einzustudieren. Die Klasse konnte dann während der Projekttage ihr Werk präsentieren.
This is Maths
There are different graphs in my exercise book, and I don’t know what they mean.
I didn’t know what a paragraph is, or any graphs with a B.
Maths is complicated, my friends tell me all the time.
Now I understand it, and now I’m fine.
You can draw a circle, draw a cube,
measure areas and different volumes too.
Conceal all words you have to know, and now they know!

It’s funny how some tricks make problems seem so small.
And the fears before proportions can’t get to us at all.
It’s time to show what we can do, understanding is nothing new.

My power flurries threw my arm into the pen.

And then I solved the fractions on my own.
